J. Michael Orr
Well known for work oriented to Northern California's Wine
Country, the artist has maintained his studio in the Napa Valley
area for over 20 years. He attended San Francisco State College
and the California College of Arts and Crafts, later pursuing
graduate work at Golden GateUniversity. His work is included
in collections around the world.
Over the years, Mr. Orr has been commissioned by many well
known California wineries to produce specific works of art.
Noteworthy clientele have included Robert Mondavi , Christian
Brothers, V. Sattui, Inglenook-Napa Valley, Franciscan,
Domaine Chandon, Sterling, Beringer Estate, Peju Province,
Folie a Deux, and Buena Vista Carneros.
The artist was also commissioned to design and produce the
original Spring Mountain Vineyards " Site of Falcon Crest "
art poster. Once the most popular T.V. program in America,
" Falcon Crest " has continued to extend its notoriety around
the world.
His paintings have also been exhibited in galleries around the
country, including the Cottage Gallery in Carmel, California and
the Jessel Gallery in the Napa Valley. In addition, Mr. Orr
produces and markets his own line of fine art prints and posters.
The artist attributes his success to his faith in God. " My success
